Jason Singh has been entertaining audiences and touring the world for over two decades as a singer, songwriter and original founding member of the ARIA Award winning Aussie pop/rock chart toppers, Taxiride. Having toured the world and their home country, playing countless sold-out headline shows, Taxiride established themselves as one of Australia’s premier live bands, leading them to be selected for the most sought after support slots for superstars such as Tina Turner - including two sold out shows at Wembley Stadium, Lionel Ritchie, John Fogerty and Matchbox 20. With solid performances and a knack for delivering hits, Taxiride enjoyed two consecutive number #1 platinum selling albums and won the 1999 ARIA for ‘Breakthrough Artist – Single’.

His Taxiride years gave Jason many memorable moments, but he says touring Europe with Tina Turner was the major highlight.
‘I’ve met some amazing people on this journey, but I particularly loved touring with Tina. We played to about three million people on a single tour. She had 440 staff with leap frogging stages, helicopters and her own money printed with her face on it. It’s incredible to see how big some artists can actually be.’

When Taxiride decided to take a temporary break in 2006, Jason began pursuing solo interests, working on his own material and some collaborations, including two Top 10 ARIA club hits with “The World As You Know It” and “One World”.
In 2013 Jason released his debut solo album "Humannequin", produced by the legendary Australian 'song doctor', Charles Fisher (Savage Garden, 1927), which showcases his vocal versatility and song writing, prompting a reviewer from Herald Sun - Melbourne’s highest circulating newspaper - to write, "Humannequin" ... sets a new benchmark with sky scraping pop songs.”
In 2015, following the success of "Humannequin", Jason embarked on his most exciting and original challenge to date, The Jason Singh Project - Six Singles in 12 Months. Each single from The Jason Singh Project demonstrated his sense of melody and classic song writing. The tracks delivered ranged from big sounding multi-formatted pop rock tracks to synth-pop gems. Again, this would create more favourite memories for Jason. ‘This project brought some great people into my home and studio, sharing the music journey - from the concept and song writing through to recording and releasing.’
Off the back of the sold-out Red Hot Summer Tour in 2017 with Taxiride as part of their 20th Anniversary reformation tour and Jason’s solo support to John Farnham, Jason joined multi-Grammy nominated pop-rock trio Hanson as part of their sell-out Middle Of Everywhere World Tour, adding to the already impressive list of internationals he has supported as a solo artist, including Rick Astley and Mariah Carey, as well as Aussie icon Jimmy Barnes. In the same year, Jason dipped his toes into reality TV word, appearing in Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Melbourne, as he mentored one of the Housewives and co-wrote and released “This Time” for the show.
In September 2018, debuting at #2 on the iTunes alternative charts and charting at #3 on the AIR 100% independent albums charts, Jason released his second solo album VALE; a tribute to the artists who have inspired him … each featured track chosen for its influence throughout Jason's life and career to date. The benefits of ongoing hard work and preparation paid off for Jason in early 2021 when he hit the ground running signalling a new chapter in his illustrious career. In February 2021, Jason’s unmistakable vocals could be heard on national television, on rotation throughout the year, with “Get Set” featured as the theme song for one of the most successful tourism campaigns in Victoria’s history “Get Set - Melbourne”, which still continues to be aired. What soon followed in March of that year was the roll-out of Jason’s amazing solo show throughout Australia, re-acquainting his audiences with the hits of Taxiride, his solo material and some favourite classics from his personal playlist, interwoven with Jason’s engaging storytelling and dripping with Jason’s innate pop sensibility. Naming the show Jason Singh plays Taxiride: Hits, Bits and Beyond, the shows were an acoustic journey of stories, influences and insights from his twenty-plus years of touring as the original Taxirider. Each performance received resounding praise from fans and venue management alike. For Jason, 2022 is already offering signals of exciting times ahead and for many years to come, so stayed tuned as he continues the ride his own way.
